Why Leonais?

Then rose the King and moved his host by night,
And ever push'd Sir Mordred, league by league,
Back to the sunset bound of Lyonesse--
A land of old upheaven from the abyss
By fire, to sink into the abyss again;
Where fragments of forgotten peoples dwelt,
And the long mountains ended in a coast
Of ever-shifting sand, and far away
The phantom circle of a moaning sea.
Tennyson, Idylls of the King
Lyonesse is the name of a legendary land, most famous for sinking under the sea. In Arthurian romance, it was the western-most kingdom of Arthur's realm, extending beyond the end of Cornwall and joining the Isles of Scilly to the rest of Britain.
Lyonesse has also been variously identified with Lothian in Scotland (Leonais in Old French).
Living all my life in beautiful Edinburgh, Lothian and having regular trips to visit my friend Diana in Cornwall to collect my precious Maine Coon babies, the name 'Leonais' was simply meant for me, being associated with both areas .
My Name is Louise Davie and after getting my first Maine Coon , Poppy, 5 years ago in 2005, I was simply hooked, going back for another little boy, 2 weeks later. His name is Rupert.
Within another year, I saw two wonderful white Maine Coons and had to have them, Merlin and Mac came home and the following year along came Archie and Arthur.
My family was completed(for now) this year when my two wonderful girls came along, Tequila and Echo.
My Dream girls and the foundation for my breeding plans.
Welcome to the wonderful world of my hearts desire!
